Payment Terms & Conditions
Kandharam.co.in — Payment Terms & Refund Policy
1. Prepaid Orders
For prepaid orders, the customer pays the complete order value online at the time of placing the order. The amount may include the product price, applicable taxes, shipping charges, and any other charges displayed during checkout.
If Kandharam is unable to process or supply an ordered product because it is out of stock or unavailable, the amount paid for the unavailable product will be refunded to the original payment method.
If the entire order cannot be fulfilled by Kandharam, the eligible order amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
For customer-requested cancellations, returns, or refunds, eligibility will be determined according to Kandharam's applicable cancellation, return, and refund policy.
Shipping charges already incurred for an order that has been dispatched may not be refundable unless the return or cancellation is due to an error by Kandharam, a damaged/incorrect product, or another circumstance where a refund is required under applicable law.
2. COD Partial Payment
For eligible Cash on Delivery orders, Kandharam may require an advance payment of ₹99 at checkout.
The remaining eligible amount will be payable by Cash on Delivery at the time of delivery.
The ₹99 advance payment confirms the customer's intention to accept the COD shipment and may also be used toward processing the order.
3. Customer Refuses or Rejects COD Delivery
If the customer refuses, rejects, or fails to accept the COD shipment at the time of delivery for reasons attributable to the customer, the ₹99 COD Partial advance payment will not be refunded, subject to applicable law.
This includes situations such as:
- Customer refusing the parcel without a valid product-related reason.
- Customer changing their mind after the order has already been dispatched.
- Repeated unsuccessful delivery caused by the customer being unavailable or refusing delivery.
- Customer declining to pay the remaining COD amount at delivery.
4. Product Out of Stock
If Kandharam is unable to fulfil the order because the product is out of stock or unavailable after the COD Partial order has been placed, the ₹99 advance payment will be refunded to the original payment method.
Where only part of a multi-product order is unavailable, the refund will be calculated according to the affected item(s) and the final fulfilment status of the order.
5. Payment Gateway / Convenience Charges
Online payments may involve payment-processing or convenience charges imposed by the payment service provider.
Where such charges are separately charged and are non-recoverable from the payment gateway or payment service provider, they may not be refundable, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This may apply to:
- COD Partial advance payments.
- Prepaid order payments.
- Payment gateway convenience/processing charges.
The refundable amount will therefore be based on the amount actually eligible for refund after considering any non-refundable payment-processing charges, where applicable.
6. Prepaid Order Cancellation Before Dispatch
For prepaid orders cancelled before dispatch, Kandharam should normally refund the eligible order amount to the original payment method.
If any payment gateway charge has already been incurred and is non-recoverable from the payment service provider, that charge may be deducted only where permitted and clearly disclosed.
This is the customer-friendly rule I recommend for Kandharam because it gives buyers more confidence in prepaid payments.
7. Prepaid Order Cancellation After Dispatch
Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation may not always be possible.
If the customer refuses a prepaid shipment after dispatch, any refund may be processed only after the shipment is returned to Kandharam and inspected.
Actual forward shipping, return shipping, or other non-recoverable costs may be deducted where applicable and permitted by law.
8. Failed or Duplicate Online Payments
If money is debited from the customer's account but Kandharam does not receive confirmation of a successful payment, the transaction may be treated as a failed payment.
Any amount debited for a failed transaction is normally reversed or refunded according to the payment gateway or bank's processing procedure.
If Kandharam receives a duplicate payment for the same order, the verified duplicate amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
9. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will normally be initiated to the same payment method used for the original transaction.
After Kandharam initiates the refund, the time required for the amount to appear in the customer's bank account, card, UPI account, or wallet may depend on the payment gateway, bank, or financial institution.
